Why Shift to Biodegradable Sanitary Pads?



The use of environmentally friendly products is becoming increasingly important. It goes without saying that when it comes to personal hygiene, we seek out what is most convenient for us to follow regularly. As a result, disposable sanitary napkins appear to be an attractive menstrual solution. Despite being marketed as cotton pads, the majority of branded items are made of plastic, which includes highly absorbent polymers, non-woven plastic components, and other environmentally hazardous ingredients that do not degrade quickly.

  • The skin of the vaginal area is completely permissible, and everything in the bloodstream comes into contact with it.

When we throw away a disposable pad or tampon, we rarely think about it. The truth is that dumping these disposable items in landfills puts a significant strain on Mother Nature. The sanitary pad is made up of more than 90% plastic. Commercially available disposable products contain a toxic cocktail of dioxins, furans, insecticides, and other endocrine disrupters that are both harmful to humans and the environment. The chemicals used in the manufacture of sanitary products are then released into the soil, water, and air.

The biodegradable Pads, on the other hand, have an efficient absorbing cellulose core that keeps the area around the genitalia dry without irritating it. Because the material is toxic, it also helps to prevent rashes and infections.
